About The Saltbox Greenport
Come stay with your friends and family in our 19th Century, fully restored three bedroom Saltbox, with 21st amenities and upgrades. Built in the 1830's, this beauty was recently renovated in 2020 by a young entrepreneur couple who loved preserving history and architectural charm. This unique home has a style all its own! Stylish and chic, it boasts an updated full sized kitchen, two renovated bathrooms and claw foot tub that a queen would admire. Enjoy its warm and open floor plan, a calming gas fireplace in the sitting area that doubles as a third bedroom and a wood burning fireplace in the kitchen. Walk on original wide floorboards from 1830 and enjoy the lush decor and comfortable furniture.
Ideal Accommodations
Hang out in Greenport and relax in our beautiful corner home, set back from a breathtaking natural preserve. Enter through the main door and take in the elegant style and layout of this gem. The main bedroom is located upstairs and features a queen-sized bed, a master closet, dressers, an ensuite with a claw-foot tub, and a Smart TV. The second bedroom is on the main floor and features a queen-size bed, a Smart TV, and a dresser. The third bedroom is set up by *request only* because it features a queen-size Murphy bed (an extra charge applies at the time of reservation) with an ensuite.
Our kitchen has a 6-burning-gas range stove, oven, refrigerator, and freezer. We provide our guests with a Breville espresso machine, coffee press, and tea kettle. We provide tea, coffee, and espresso beans for convenience. Kitchen is also equipped with a toaster, toaster oven, coffee grinder, microwave, and dishwasher, and is fully stocked (utensils, pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, etc). Your hosts are hands-on, offer an à la carte menu before your arrival, and will accommodate your needs as best they can. Aiming to curate a very special and memorable vacation on the North Fork of Long Island.
Our driveway can accommodate 3 mid-sized vehicles, and we also provide a Tesla/Electric Car Charger upon request at the time of reservation confiation.

Enjoy the North Fork (NOFO), Long Island's wine country, it is the home of over 50 vineyards, dozens of distilleries, craft breweries and charming farm stands and marketplaces. The North Fork of Long Island is bound by miles of fine, white sand beaches all along the sound, the ocean and the bay. It is surrounded by cliff-side bluffs, hidden sand dunes and spotted with classic lighthouses.
Visitors to the Greenport-Southold area have easy access to small community beaches in coves and hidden inlets accessible by road or boat. It is ideal for swimming as the ocean waves are calm and the undertow is light.

The Saltbox is walking distance from Greenport Village amenities, and an easy stroll (0.4 mi) to 67 Steps Beach. Greenport Village has a lot to offer in the way of entertainment, especially in the summer months. There are fabulous restaurants, many seaport attractions, and fun nightlife hotspots.
For smaller, quieter groups there are a number of state parks, small community beaches for family activities, or quiet outdoor hobbies, like sketching or birdwatching.

The Saltbox is endowed with a stunning backyard equipped with a barrel jacuzzi (available seasonally), deck, BBQ grill, fire pit, and a relaxed sitting area with a well lit outdoor eating area.
While staying with us we offer à la carte access to beach chairs, beach towels, and an umbrella. We also have and non-electric beach cruisers, paddle boards and body boards available for rent.
